Ljubljana, Slovenia (September 2, 2022) — Sport Venture Group and its operating partner Aljaž Bedene today agreed to acquire the football operations of ND Ilirija 1911 (the “club”). The club was founded in June 1911 and is the oldest active Slovenian football club in the country. As part of the acquisition, ND Ilirija 1911 will acquire a ninety-nine (99) year lease to redevelop the Ilirija Sports Park into a multisport, community and national sport destination. The closing is subject to the traditional regulatory approvals under Slovenian law and the Football Association.
